On January 6, 2024, the 2023 project progress summary meeting of the National Key R&D Program "Intelligent Sensors" key project "In situ Real time Monitoring Sensor and Application Demonstration of Machine Tool Cutting Condition Tool Status" was successfully held in Changxing, Zhejiang Province, with Songde Tool (Changxing) Technology Co., Ltd. as the leading unit and Professor Cao Huajun from Chongqing University as the project leader. The meeting was conducted through a combination of online and offline methods.
The meeting invited Professor Sun Daoheng from Xiamen University, Professor Qin Lei from Beijing University of Information Science and Technology, and Dr. Zhu Minjie from the Institute of Integrated Technology and Economics of Mechanical Industry Instrumentation as project experts to guide the progress of project implementation.
Chairman He Zhenhu of Songde Tools first delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the leading unit and project team, expressing warm welcome and heartfelt gratitude to all the experts and leaders who attended the meeting.
The meeting was chaired by Li Longtao, Marketing Manager of Songde Tools (Changxing) Technology Co., Ltd. The main contents of the meeting are as follows:
The backbone personnel of Chongqing University and Songde Tools (Changxing) Technology Co., Ltd. respectively made work reports on the project objectives and research content, annual progress of the project, phased achievements, funding allocation and utilization, and project organization and management.
Associate Professor Li Duo reported on the research progress of Project One in 2023, which mainly focuses on the theory and system of high-precision in-situ real-time monitoring of tool status through multi-source information fusion.
Senior expert He Zhengrong reported on the research progress of Project 2 in 2023, which mainly focuses on the design, manufacturing, and stability improvement technology of embedded integrated sensors for cutting tools.
Dr. Zhang Jin from Chongqing University reported on the research progress of Project Three in 2023, which mainly focuses on the integration of intelligent components and systems for in-situ real-time monitoring of tool status and wear compensation.
Zhu Yongsheng, Technical Director of Songde Tools (Changxing) Technology Co., Ltd., reported on the research progress of Project Four in 2023, which mainly focuses on the demonstration of in-situ monitoring of tool status for precision/ultra precision parts machining.
After the presentation, the project leaders and key personnel fully exchanged opinions on key issues, key technologies, and other content, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent research work and communication and cooperation among various units.
Finally, Professor Cao Huajun, on behalf of the project team, once again expressed gratitude to all experts and leaders for their attendance, and stated that they will fully digest and absorb the opinions and suggestions put forward by all experts. Based on further demonstration, they will make modifications and improvements to the existing implementation plan to reduce project implementation risks. All participating units will work closely together to ensure that the project is implemented as planned and strive to achieve better application demonstration effects.
The convening of this conference marks the official launch of the national key research and development plan "Intelligent Sensors" key special project "In situ Real time Monitoring Sensor and Application Demonstration of Machine Tool Cutting Condition Tool Status", laying the foundation for the smooth and orderly development of the project.
